Each summer, Yale Law Women matches current Yale Law Women mentees with alumnae mentors with similar professional interests, to share experiences and advice about legal careers, clerkships, fellowships, academia, career transitions, excelling at law school, and everything in between. Mentors and mentees meet over the summer and begin a mentoring relationship that can continue into the school year. In cities with a critical mass of mentor-mentee pairs (typically, NYC and DC), YLW organizes “reunion” events to allow mentor-mentee pairs to mix and mingle.
